Lamchin Interpretive Center (Open hours 10am–5pm Daily)
Woodside, CA
We at Bay Area Redwood understand the importance of recognizing and acknowledging the past and present stewardship of the original inhabitants of this land. The Filoli Lamchin Interpretive Center aims to walk visitors through the history and story of the Ramaytush Ohlone peoples, who are the original caretakers of the San Francisco Peninsula. This project was a collaboration between the Association of Ramaytush Ohlone and Filoli. We provided two types of wood throughout the exhibition: Redwood, which grew on the slopes of the mountains, and Coast Live Oak, found in the flatlands and rolling foothills.
